One day before closing the festival the organizers announced the decisions made by FIPRESCI, FICC, Ecumenical, and Ukrainian panorama juries. Most of movie-makers awarded this year were absent at the ceremony – members of international delegations will deliver the prizes to the addressees.
In 2008 the prizes went to:

Prize – “Versailles” by Pierre Scholler, France
FICC jury
Prize – “Buddha collapsed out of shame”, Hana Makhmalbaf, Iran
Diplomas – 1) “Snow”, Aida Begic, Bosnia and Herzegovina
2) “Fight”, Anais Barbeau-Lavalette, Canada
Ecumenical jury
Prize – “Simple heart”, Marione Laine, France
Diploma – “Buddha collapsed out of shame”, Hana Makhmalbaf, Iran
“Ukrainian panorama” jury found “Butterfly wings” by Oleksandr Balagura the best Ukrainian film. Check for UAH 10,000 film producer Svitlana Zinovyeva will get from Kyiv mayor, Leonid Chernovetskiy, Oct 26 in Palace “Ukraine”. That’s the place where Sunday night the name of winner will be announced.
