Molodist Talent Workshop

Molodist Talent Workshop is a new educational program of the Kyiv International Film Festival. During an intensive program of lectures, workshops, discussions, screenings the young talents will get the opportunity to learn from and have discussions with renowned film professionals, mingle with regional and international stars and colleagues, share ideas and create together. The Molodist Talent Workshop taps into the unique atmosphere of a great festival to bring together young talents and experienced professionals.

Talent Workshop gives You unrivalled opportunity! Creative professionals from every field of the film industry are available as speakers, teachers and partners for discussion.

Participants will benefit not only from the experience of the professionals involved? But also from the exchange of their own ideas and opinions. Talent Workshop is not just lectures. It would rather be discussions, where the participants are to create the dialogue

The Molodist Talent Workshop appeared in 2003. For the first two years we carried this event in cooperation with Berlinale Talent Campus. It was really significant and extra-important experience for us. But already the third Talent Workshop (2005) was «Berlinale-free» and «Molodist only» event supported by TV5 channel.

If You are young and talented, if you are involved in any area of filmmaking, or just interested in cinematography…

Then You are eligible to apply to the Molodist Talent Workshop. Come to master-classes of Molodist with your questions and you will get answers or information to think about from experienced cinematographers from every field of the film industry. The Talent Workshop takes place parallel to the Molodist

During previous years our lecturers were Jerzy Hoffman, Roland Joffe, Otar Iosseliani, Kira Muratova, Krzysztof Zanussi, Alain Flescher, Gennady Ostrovsky, Vadim Perelman, Irvin Kersher, Sergij Yurskij, Vadim Abdrashytov etc…

Don't be a passive listener, - make yourself ready to dialog.

Don’t be afraid to strike as stupid. All professional cinematographers were young and made their first steps once.

Some of masters will be working in format of two meetings - on the first meeting participants will get a task, and in two days you'll meet again to understand what you got.
