This year Molodist IFF will become the ground for one of the biggest workshops of East European Film Alliance (EEFA). EEFA is TRAINING NETWORK which intends to be a platform for film professionals from the East European countries and EU neighboring countries, utilizing co-production projects as concrete means to gather talents and strengthen the wide regional film industry.
It was awarded with financing from MEDIA International, now MEDIA MUNDUS, in the last two years.
There are currently 15 projects involved in this year’s training program:
Fiction features:
- The Romanticists – Armenia,
- Circle – Turkey,
- Childhood Voices – Romania,
- Once Upon a National Day– Romania,
- Lemon Juice & Indigo – Hungary,
- Brothers and Sisters – Latvia,
- Seaburners – Turkey,
- Zarafa’s Journey – Italy.
Documentaries:
- See you in Chechnya – Georgia,
- Lost in Transition – Croatia,
- In the Mirror – Bulgaria,
- Russian – French Family of Ivanovs – Lithuania/ Russia,
- Hijacked! – Romania.
Ukraine is represented by:
- How Much is Morality? – Ukraine, producer Ella Shtyka, director Dmytro Tiazhlov;
- Granparents’ Tour - Estonia/Ukraine, producers: Yuliya Sokolova, Alena Yaremchuk, director Yana Antonets.
The EEFA Training Network 2011 consists of four workshops: Script Development for Documentary, Script Development for Fiction Projects, Management of Film Production, Legal and Distribution Matters. The workshops will take place in the cities of Zagreb, Sofia, Kyiv and Tallinn. At the end of the training program up to three best projects will be selected to be presented in Berlin, during the Berlinale-2012.
The third workshop of EEFA Training Network 2011, Film Production, will take place in Kyiv on October 28-30 for 15 projects (7 documentaries and 8 fiction projects) from 13 countries.
