Ecumenical Jury prizeThe Ecumenical Jury prize is awarded at «Molodist» Kyiv International Film Festival in the case of its presence at the festival. The Ecumenical Jury focuses its attention on films with a special view. It is interested in the artistic quality as well as in religious, social, and people-related questions. It looks at the visions of the creative film directors with a feel for justice, peace, and respect as well as spiritual dimensions. At the same time, the jury is open to the suffering and unplumbed depths of human existence, and it seeks experiences which give hope. Films from each section of the competition program of the festival are under consideration for the Ecumenical Jury prize.
In 2009, the Ecumenical Jury gave the prize to "La Pivellina", a feature film by Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel (Italy, Austria) and gave the "Diploma" to "Wolfy" by Vasiliy Sigaryov (Russia). Members of the jury: Piet Halma (The Netherlands)
