Special Events: Photo exhibition of O. Dovzhenko National Film Studio, devoted to anniversary of Ada Rogovceva

This photo exhibition is a modest gift of O. Dovzhenko National Film Studio to the anniversary of Ada Rogovceva. The exhibition presents the shots from films of our Film Studio, in particular, where she played. We are proud that exactly here she started in cinema life, when in far 1955, being very young girl, was invited to role of Hafijka in film «The Bloody dawn» by Mychailo Kotsjubynsky’s story «Fata morgana» by director Oleksiy Shvachka.
After this she shot in more than 20 films of O.Dovzhenko Film Studio. Every her film work is the highest demonstration of talented naturalness. Therefore directors were not afraid to give her roles of any complexity and psychological pressure, and were always assured in excellent result. As Joseph Hejfits, Russian film director, said about her exactly, - «…Ada Rogovceva is the actress from a head up to feet, and she is the individual from head up to feet also».

Many film directors with world-known names have been working with Ada Rogovceva. Among them there are V. Ivchenko, V. Ivanov, V. Naumov, O. Alov, L. Osyka, A. Vojtetsky, V. Dovgan, V. Denysenko, J. Hejfits, D. Hrabrovitsky, M. Маshchenko, R. Balajan. And for each new role, embodying a intention of the director, she discovered unique, the only true colors.
Today the actress continues the active creative life at cinema, pleasing her admirers with talent and charm. Only in 2008 there will be four new films with her participation.
All Dovzhenkovite congratulate the actress sincerely on an anniversary and wish her the further creative enthusiasm, a sound health and success everywhere and in everything.

Isabelle Huppert
Year after year the actress came across the greatest photographers. They have not only portrayed her, but also experienced with her the gift of friendship in the art, expectation for the right moment and the game of gazes and chances. They have approached to the art of the great actress whose mastery of the image and power over her acting let her overcome what she considered to be her only certainty: the intuition.
This exhibition presented at film festival “Molodist”, demonstrates 17 photos. This event will take place in the Cultural centre “Cinema Kiev” from 21st October.
