The Winners of the Molodist-2000 Festival


The International Jury of the Molodist-2000 Festival:

The Jury has decided to award the following prizes: 
  • Grand Prix statuette "The Scythian Deer" and monetary award of 10,000 USD sponsored by  trade mark "Loto-Zabava" for the best film of the festival awarded to “Stand by” by Roch Stefanik, France
  • Best Feature Film a monetary award of 2,500 USD sponsored by TV-5, France is awarded to “Billy Elliot” by Stephen Daldry, Great Britain
  •  Best Short Fiction Film an award of 2,500 USD in subtitling by Laser Video Titlesis awarded to “Scarecrow” by Alexander Kott, Russia
  •  Best Animated Film Best a monetary award of 2,500 USD sponsored by Kyiv IFF "Molodist" is awarded ex-aequoto “Caged Birds Cannot Fly”  by Luis Briceno, France and “Autumn Has Come”  by E. Sokolova, Russia
  • Best Student Film an award of 2,500 USD in film from Eastman Kodak is awarded to “The Bad, The Mad, And The Maddest One” by Volodymyr Doschuk, Ukraine
  • Best Young Actor. The Yves Montand prize and 5,000 FRF from the French Institute of Ukraine is awarded to Jamie Bell for his performance in “Billy Elliot”, Great Britain
 
Jury Diploma 
  • full-length feature film  “Boys Don't Cry” by Kimberly Peirce, USA with a special distinction to the outstanding performance by Hilary Swank
  • film program of Ukrainian Film School. “100 Years in Search of Solitude” by Maryna Kondratieva; “In The Spring” by Kateryna Koval; “Sound's Birth” by Vira Yakovenko
  •  animated films “Fur And Feathers” by Maria Vasilkovsky, USA; “Seashore. Nurse” by Sergey Seryogin, Russia
  • student films “Rainbow“ by Ali Resa Amini, Iran; “The Apartment” by Luna Kim, Korea 
  • short fiction films “Banco” by Patrick Bossard, France; “My Father” by Fani Kolarova, France-Bulgaria
 
Audience Prize
