Winners 2011


International Jury

Grand Prix, statuette “The Scythian Deer”, diploma and $10 000 (sponsor – “MSL” company) for best feature film of the competition program – “Breathing” (“Atmen”), director Karl Markovics (Austria).

The prize for Best Feature Film and $2500 – “Las Acacias”, director Pablo Giorgelli (Argentina, Spain); Special Mention – “Suicide Room”, director Jan Komasa (Poland).

The prize for Best Short Film and $2500 – “The Runaway” (“La Huida”), director Victor Carrey (Spain); Special Mention – “The Girl and the Hunter” (“La fille et le chesseur”), director Jadwiga Kowalska (Switzerland).

The prize for Best Student Film and $2500 – “Coral”, director Ignacio Chaneton (Argentina), and “Twist & Blood”, director Kuba Czekaj (Poland). Special Mention for best student animation – “The Gallery” (“Galeria”), director Robert Proch (Poland), Special Mention for best student documentary – “Midnight” (“Pulnoc”), director Klára Tasovská (Czech Republic).

The Yves Montand Prize to the best young actor / actress and 1000 EUR have been awarded to Alicia Vikander from “Pure” (“Till det som är vackert”), director Lisa Langseth.

The Audience Prize and the special prize from "Zarina" Jewellery House to “Paris Shanghai”, director Thomas Cailley (France).

 

The Ukrainian Panorama 2010-2011 Jury

The top prize in the competition Ukrainian Panorama 2010-2011 and 20 000 UAH, as well as the special prize of the Czech Cultural Centre in Kyiv and the Czech Airlines have been awarded to the film “Deafness” (“Glukhota”), director Myroslav Slaboshpytskyy.

Special Mention for sharp author’s statement – film “Sickfuckpeople”, director Yuriy Rechynskyy.

Special Mention for expressive cinematic language – film “Blood” (“Krov”), director Iryna Pravylo.

 

FICC Jury

The top prize has been awarded to the short film “The Prayer” (“Tro, Hab Og Sex”), dir. Emma Balcazar (Denmark).

Special Mentions have been awarded to the short film “Coral”, dir. Ignacio Chaneton (Argentina), and the short film “Fellini Factor” (“Faktor Fellini”), dir. Myroslava Khoroshun (Ukraine).

 

FIPRESCI Jury

The top prize (FIPRESCI diploma) has been awarded to the full-length film “Breathing” (“Atmen”), dir. Karl Markovics, Austria.

 

Ecumenical Jury

The Ecumenical Jury Prize for Best Feature Film – “The Little Room” (“La petite chambre”), dir. Stephanie Chuat, Veronique Reymond, Switzerland.

The Ecumenical Jury Prize for Best Short Film – “Protect the Nation”, dir. Candice Reisser, South Africa, Germany.

Special Mention has been awarded to the full-length films “Suicide Room” (“Sala samobojcow”), dir. Jan Komasa, Poland, and “Facing Mirrors” (“Aynehaye rooberoo”), dir. Negar Azarbayjani, Iran.

Special Mention has been awarded to the short film “View from a Well” (“Pogled iz bunara”), dir. Ivona Juka, Croatia.
