The film tells the story of Pharaoh Ramses XIII, a brave warrior and an ardent lover. The pharaohs were no longer all-powerful rulers, and the treasury was empty. The young pharaoh's love for two women brought him no happiness: his son, born to the Jewish woman Sarah, had no right to inherit the throne, while the priestess Kama was forbidden from physical love. However, his main passion was hatred toward the almighty priests—the actual rulers of Egypt, who had accumulated incredible wealth. The most powerful among them was the High Priest Herhor. But death awaited anyone who dared to stand against the priests.
