Jaume Claret Muxart
Sixteen-year-old Dídac and his family are spending the summer holidays on a bicycle trip along the Danube. An unexpected encounter with a boy changes the course of the journey, with his enigmatic presence awakening new feelings in Dídac and disrupting his relationship with his family.
Director Jaume Claret Muxart is a graduate of the first generation of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (EQZE). His debut short film HER AND I (ELLA I JO, 2020) was screened at festivals including San Sebastián and Rotterdam. His short DIE DONAU (2023) was invited to FIDMarseille and the Málaga Film Festival, while OUR ROOM (2025) was selected for the Rotterdam Film Festival. Strange River is his first feature film and has been invited to the Orizzonti section of the 2025 Venice Film Festival.
