Sofiia Buhrii
At one of Kyiv’s bakeries, bread is baked by people with mental disabilities. Their work helps residents of front-line areas. The most remote place they have delivered bread to is the village of New York in Donetsk region, now occupied by Russia.
Sofiia Buhrii is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and film editor. She graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University with a Master’s degree in Cinematography. The premiere of her debut short, IN 769 KM, NEW YORK, took place at the Krakow Film Festival. Sofiia participated in international educational programs for aspiring directors (Związek Ukraińców w Polsce, Indie Lab).
