Choi Jong-yong
Thirteen-year-old Su-yeon is left alone after her grandmother passes away. Su-yeon’s friends and neighbors, whom she hoped would take her in, gradually turn their backs on her.
Born in Daegu, Choi majored in poetry at university. He directed the short film THE LADY WITH THE DOG (2019) and won the Korean Film Council′s Korean Film Screenplay Competition with WATERDROP in 2022. Waterdrop is his first feature film.
