Tarik Saleh is an award-winning director and screenwriter. His feature debut, METROPIA (2009), opened the Critique Week at Venice. Saleh's international breakthrough, THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT (2017), won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and 'Best Film' at the Guldbagge Awards. In 2022, his psychological thriller BOY FROM HEAVEN premiered at Cannes, where Saleh won 'Best Screenplay' and the Prix François Chalais Award. EAGLES OF THE REPUBLIC is the final film in Saleh's Cairo-trilogy, following THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT and BOY FROM HEAVEN.
