Oleksii Moroz
The film is Oleksiy Moroz's graduation project from the Kyiv Institute of Theatrical Arts named after I. K. Karpenko-Karyi. It is based on the short story “The Mistake (Thoughts of an Arrested Man)” by Lesya Ukrainka. An intellectual writer, drawn into underground revolutionary activities, lands in prison, where his convictions and will are put to the test of resilience.
Oleksii Moroz (1946–2008) studied in the workshop of Volodymyr Denysenko (graduated in 1970). In his subsequent feature film directorial works, he specialized in children's and adolescent themes. He received an award at the "Molodist-77".
