Taras Tomenko is a Ukrainian film director and screenwriter. Born in Kyiv in 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1997. He then studied in the film directing workshop of Borys Savchenko, graduating in 2001. He is the author of several feature-length documentaries and fiction films. He is a laureate of many prestigious prizes and awards, and a member of the Ukrainian and European Film Academies.
